Recently I finished a book by author John Kehoe called “A Vision of Power and Glory”
A really inspiring book and one I will use as a spiritual guide to me for my own path. However it is an earlier book by the author I wish to give some focus to on this blog.
When I first started learning about concepts of mind power and directing our own life more consciously it was the type of concepts and techniques in this book that opened me up to seeing a whole new view of reality.
Before going into a study of this book in my blog I want to back track a bit because the book was created after I first started learning of the concepts of mind powers.
One day in my first year out of school I just started becoming more curious about life and questioning the way most of us people live life by approaching in a way to follow what most other people do because that is just what is the norm. Although we still do them with our own unique mannerisms and quirks of personality in general we grow up, goto the education environments and conditioned to have certain expectations. That curiousity and wonder of life and reality beyond the conditioning is what lead me to attend a course called Mind Powers.
I attended a course of four lectures spread a week apart which taught on concepts of foundational mind powers and the main techniques to harness the power of our free will to choose our own thoughts and direct them to be focussed on things we would like to see happen in our life.
This course was taught by an Australian named Kerry Riley but the orginal founder of that work the course was based on was his friend and associate John Kehoe. The book I am going to be focussing on in my blog for awhile is based on that pioneering work of John Kehoe.
Between the lectures I attended there was home work set to work with techniques and develop mind power skills and use our own daily life to experiment with. It was a great course and really gave me some strong foundational mind powers. Some of them I probably take for granted because they are second nature to me now but there is still much to practice to consider myself a master of my own mind and creating everything I wish to see in my life. Recently I was re-visiting some notes from my last couple of lectures and see there is still much I have not fully integrated into my life. Just stuff I learned once that completely forgetten about.
So this book I am going to focus on now is called “Mind Power Into The 21st Century” and is written by the same pioneer that created the course I attended and developed many of my foundational mind power skills that I still strive to master as a practice.
I’m sure going through this book in this blog will aid my own development further and hopefully what I share is of help to you too.
The first chapter of the book is called “Another View of Reality”. In this chapter John Kehoe sets us up with the idea the nobody wanting to learn to use mind powers needs to fully understand law of physics or how reality manifest itself.
However taking a little time examining the nature of reality can give us help to understand that the mind does play an important role in the reality we experience as our daily lives.
Most people recognise that whether it is solid matter or less visible stuff like electricty and the communication signals that allow our tv’s and mobile phones to work, that there is a fundamental stuff to all these things. That fundamental stuff is Energy.
You don’t need to study quantum physics to recognise this truth. Even the food or drinks we consume and our body functions is energy at work in some way, shape or form. John Kehoe invites us to take another view of reality beyond just our physical senses:
“Reality is fluid. Nothing is fixed. Everything is part of a pattern that is in constant motion; even a rock is a dance of energy. The universe is dynamic and alive and we are in it and of it, dynamic and alive ourselves.”
That notion that we are in it and of it, to me is like a fish being in the ocean and if a fish could think and we could ask it a question what water is , the water would be such deeply embedded nature of the reality for a fish’s world that it would probably not even understand the question. Maybe consciousness for us humans is a little like water is for the reality of a fish.
In our reality of our daily lives do we ever give much wonder to just what our mind and thoughts are? or are they just something so embedded in what we *do* that we don’t even question the very role of our mind, in the nature of our own reality ?
So just what is reality to you ? Is it the material world, the intangibles of situations and events of our relationships ? Are some things more real than others?
For me I tend to think there is much in general day of going about our lives we don’t question fundamental aspects of our world we are living in and of.
In John Kehoe’s book he suggests the very nature of our universe is holographic and even the physical organ of the brain operates in a holographic nature. The concept of a hologram is explained as being “an entity in which “the whole” is contained in each and every one of it’s parts.”
For me when I first heard that concept it resonated as a strong truth to me because everything I think about or detect with my senses has energy patterns. It seems fundamentally true that beyond our senses there is a basis of our reality that forms from energy. That “whole” is contained in each and every one of it’s parts. To me this meant reality of our everyday senses would be silly to be biased thinking that this is in fact reality itself for me. There was so much more… like the invisible things that my usual 5 senses could not detect… our very thoughts and feeling. Surely to me these are just as much a part of reality as the solid material things in my everyday world ?
This is where I begun my journey into pondering on life and what we do each day. Reality to me had a different meaning when I first learnt of our mind powers. It was another view of reality. Everything was not as it seemed….to be continued

This will be my last posting in this blog specifically on my study of “The Secret Beyond The Law of Attraction”. I been summarizing as I been going along. You will have to go back to December archives to find the last posting where this follows on from.
I have by no means finished my study and application of what I been learning. I’ve really only started in a real sense but now that I have a learning environment online with students studying and applying the same material we learn from Dov Baron I will add blog entries within Baron Mastery University that are more specific to my own transformation.
In last December post I covered we need to become more aware of our thinking patterns to start by checking our thoughts as we are having them.
Dov wrote about a Buddhist technique we can experiment with to cancel the potential effects of lack thinking. I personally had learned techniques quite some time ago for weeding out some of my negative thoughts when I been observant enough to catch them. They have been very helpful in my life however I certainly have room for improvement. In reading Dov’s book this technique is new to me and we can all do with any tips that can help us nuetralize the harmful effects negative thoughts can have on our life working against us. When I first read it I actually fooled myself to think I did not need it but hmmmm I think on second reading that was my ego tricking me from working with something new, as is the tendency of the ego to talk us out of doing something different.
Anyway, I am going to give this new canceling technique a spot in my tool kit of dealing with lack thinking and share how I go with it with other students in Baron Mastey University.
Now as a consequence of using this technique Dov says we start to take it further by questioning any thoughts of lack thinking by asking ourself “Is it true?” and he gives an example of the pyschological process of doing this for ourself. The effect is to shift our consciousness for our own good and explore deeper what is really important to us. When we run this routine in our own mind consciously Dov says the effect is to find out what really matters to us and more importantly if we make something really important to us we train our minds so we can find a way. Then we choose from a place within us of genuine power rather than just an unconscious choice from conditioning.
We decide what is important to us and set our minds on finding our way because we make it important enough to ourself.
So how important is financial wealth to you?
That is something we all get to decide for ourself. Certainly for me finances are not the *most* important aspect in life however I am making it important enough that I do make a commitment to myself to become financially independent.
Right now I do not even know how it will happen in my life but I commit to finding that way for me. To me it means not limiting myself to really experience as much in life as possible. I know this means improving my relationship with money. It is about developing a prosperity consciousness for every area of my life.
Dov shares a wonderful recommendation in the form of a mantra to ourself for this part of our life. I’ve only just started with it but can see and feel it can be very powerful emotionally to keep me on track to becoming financially independent.
Another recommendation Dov makes to re-inforce and build on our consciousness for more wealth in our life is to develop a habit of giving away something that can be valueable to someone else. Further more get excited knowing whomever gets what we are giving up gets more value out of it than we presently are.
I’ve started doing this a few times with items like a foot spa I never used but was still relatively brand new and gave it to someone that had chronic saw feet. I’ve done it with clothing and footwear aswell that is still in good condition. The point is we can all find something we can give away and by doing this we create the space for more to come in our life with the sentiment we live in an abundant universe we share with a collective flow of wealth we can tap into anytime we shift our own consciousness.
The final recommendation Dov makes in this e-book is to keep investing in our growth and the truly successful never graduate but instead find ways to develop our mind and experience more of life that is on offer.
This is something I am committed to doing for myself
Part of developing a wealth consciousness is to recognize there is a difference between the idea spending and investing.
For me it is becoming much more clear how to apply my understanding of this in my life. I have not mastered it yet but am finding my way.
I let my mentors show me paths that can lead me to where I wish to go with my life and have Dov as my coach to show me how to navigate around the potential mind fields that can be traps to get caught in.
