If You Could Find A Way

Not giving up on our dreams and looking for real seeds to grow within us

This is a really interesting post for me to add after previous post about visualization technique in John Kehoe’s book. Personally I’ve certainly being going through a stage in my life where I don’t seem to be manifesting outcomes, things and events that I have my heart set on.
What I mean by that is I truly believe we all manifest our lives from moment to moment so I’m manifesting events and stuff in my life and I still manifest things I want but what I have *not* been manifesting for myself in my life is things of great significance and deep meaning to me like any big desires of mine.

I’m sure everyone has these times in life where nothing of importance to them seems to be working out even when we think to ourself we put our heart and soul into our efforts. I’ve been working with visualization technique recently quite diligently however for whatever reason my visuals have just not been flowing easy to me and I have not been feeling successful in connecting to the emotions I know I want to feel that can fuel our mind powers to attract ourself and our desires to be into our life.

I sense this is a reflection that I got personal stuff going on within me swimming around on emotional level as a reaction to events unfolding in my life in 2006 that really upset and saddened me. I won’t go into that here as I don’t feel blogs on general internet is an environment to be going into personal issues that can feel sensitivity to. But what I will say is that in reaction to those undesired events in 2006 my ego mind did a number on me I’m presently not finding easy to emotionally shrug off.

When I been intending to be visualizing achieving important dreams to me I actually been finding connecting with enjoyable emotions very fleeting and get frustrated and connecting with upsetting emotions seems so much easier. This to me is not successfully using the visualization technique with the mind. I’m atleast aware enough to recognise my present mind associates undesired feelings of 2006 to personal goals I want to see achieved going forward in my life.

So what do you do when things don’t seem to be going your way in life and you know what dreams you have but don’t seem to making progress towards them ?

I guess you can give up on your dreams and talk yourself into settling for what you got. Fool yourself that your life is as good as you can expect and put your attention into things to forget you even had your dreams. It is an option.

Personally I feel this is what most people do in life. I find it disturbingly the norm in society. There is plenty on offer to distract us and even have lots of good times. Watching or doing things that are escapism from being true to our own heart and deepest desires and numb us to our spirit. We can all name a few I bet.

The other option I see is to really stay awake to our dreams. Dig in , do some soul searching if needed and believe in our dreams for our real life.
Get real with ourself and face our own internal issues, deal with personal stuff or external obstacles that seem to be in the way of living our deams.

That is what I intend to do. The choice seems simple even if not easy. The thought of giving up on our dreams and settling for less just seems a disturbing option of how to use the gift of life we all have now. I don’t want any part of that.

I am personally feeling kind of shipwrecked emotionally and financially right now in my life. Bit like being on an island and not knowing how to get off. That is where I am in my personal reality in relation to what I want to experience and achieve in my life. I like to be real with myself. I’m unsure how to find my way out of here but I am committed to finding a way even if I can not see a way for me right at present.

I just think life is too precious to give up on our dreams. The option of just giving up finding a way to my own dreams I just won’t buy into. It’s not the way I want to live my life. It’s not in the spirit of why I even choose to do this blog.

I love this art of manifesting our lives even when it does not seem to be coming easy to me. Certainly I had times where manifesting felt easier to me to manifest some past goals that would not seem easy.

So I want to share this next technique of mind powers John Kehoe writes about in his book. It is called the seeding technique. This to me is actually where I pin point what I have not been doing well recently in my mind power practices. I will go into more details in next posting but for now I will leave you with how John Kehoe relates it to previous technique of visualization.

“If visualization is creating scenes or pictures in your own movie, then seeding is like adding the sound track, only instead of adding words you are adding the feelings that accompany the pictures.”

Practicing Successful Visualization

In previous post I described what John Kehoe explains the technique of visualization is in relation to our mind powers.

Here I will share what I learn from his book is the way to go about this visualization technique.

The very first aspect is simply deciding what we want to do.
That is, have a clear outcome we wish to be part of our life.

Decide what that is for us.
This is actually very important because in general a lot of us humans are very good at getting clear what we do not want or what we are against in life. However, giving real focussed attention on what we really desire that is ideal to our mind and dear to our heart is worth giving much more of our conscious attention to. Maybe in society in general this is something we can all get much better at. I certainly think and feel so.

So once we’ve picked a clear outcome we desire to see in our life the next important element is to relax our own mind in readiness to remove all distractions and give our concentrated attention to what we intend to see on that inner screen of our own mind.

Once we are comfortable in body and mind then we direct our thoughts to see the images that represent to us the outcome we desire taking place in our life. We spend a concentrated period of say 5 to 10 minutes where we linger on thoughts of doing and having the thing we desire in our own life. We live in this as an experience right now entering into the role in the detail we see as being real to us and become what we would be as we are experiencing it happening in our life.

Now doing this once is like creating an energetic calibration for our own mind and beingness to know the blueprints to experience this in our own life. Doing this more than once gives more power to what we put our mind to work on. As John Kehoe says in his book:

“the mental pictures we indulge in, the ones we regularly think about, become a blueprint for our goals, a mold into which we pour our energy. These pictures are real forces that will work for us.”

I like to point out at this stage he is talking about consciously being in process of creating things we like to see happen in our life. Let there be no doubt that if we give our attention and energy to unconsciously imaging scenarios happening in our life we fear seeing unfold or would hate to see happen that is also the very same technique but that is when we would be having our mind not serving us well.

Visualization is still visualization whether it is seeing mental pictures of what we desire or what we might fear or worry about.

Practicing getting better at this technique for what we desire is the aim here.

John Kehoe also describes we can have two forms of visualization.
One he calls precise visualization where we know the exact scenes of what we desire to see happen in our life and running them through our mind much like a preset script.

The other form is what he calls free-flowing visualization is which we allow images to come and go in our mind without choosing them directly. We allow to be shown on inner screen of our mind the outcome we desire to see unfold in our life. We live in the experience and let the visions come to us as our thoughts linger in being in the experience.

The key thing to successful visualization as John Kehoe prescribes is practice every day just like a committed and elite olympic athlete practices in their chosen field of sport.

As John Kehoe says “results come when the image is imprinted again and again and again….any thought put into our mind, and nourished regularly, will produce results in your life…. any image held in the mind is a force that will eventually produce an effect”

I like to finish of this blog entry by saying that in John Kehoe book he is not suggesting this is like magic wand and thought by itself will make the outcome happen.
There is a real force here whenever we are imaging with our thoughts, yes indeed. Energy is clearly at play, that is a definite role in forming our reality.
However, what I understand of this process is this technique attracts and leads to situations and opportunities coming our way that will *lead* us to our desired outcome. We still have to be actively involved in being and doing the behaviour and actions that are congruent with having this desired result in our life. We cannot sit on the sidelines so to speak. We have to get in the field of our own life game and make it happen to really win on the scoreboard that counts as meaningful result in our own life. A big part of our own mind power is to take inspired action based on what we’ve set our mind on the task of seeing happen in our life and our faith and trust in our heart what can unfold in our life.

Maybe this is the subtle shift that moves a desired result we are in process of attracting to an actual result we have manifested we are living.

Take wonderful care with your inner vision and happy manifesting in your inspired actions
